Boom Word 200 problems

please help!
I upgraded to word 2000 (ms office 2000) from word 97, operating on windows 98. The computer keeps coming up with fatal error exceptions and locks up all the time. I have no idea what to do. I pulled every techincal manual I could off of the microsoft website. I'll try them tonite. Does anyone have any suggestions for what to do? I'll try anything!- Sara

Hi,

Can you do a clean install of Office 2000 (as opposed to upgrading)? If so, does that help any, or do you still get the errors? HTH

Did you try the repair option for Office 2000? If not give that a try first.

It Worked!

I uninstalled office, reinstalled it. Then changed the options so that Word was the only one that was installed... Then I had to rename the global template! Thanks for all your help!- Sara
