I was wondering why Winace makes a wierd noise when I extract large files(100+ MB) It is some sort of indescribable beep coming from the internal speaker. Actually, it is not really a beep, but the length of the noise is about the same as a beep. There are no problems associated from this sound. I was just wondering why it happens.

Hi Atchikan,
Are you sure that's not the hard drive spinning and reading as it's extracting the files? |

I am sure, it happens as it finsihes at almost the same moment a file is finsished being extracted, and I am sure the sound is coming from the internal speaker. It sounds sort of like two different beep tones at the same time.

Check the WinAce options/settings, there is probably a checkbox that says "Beep when done extracting large file" or similar.

oh, I guess that "beep when something takes longer than a minte" option is what I was hearing. Thanks.
