DVD Software
Really a simple question I think...
I have two DVD playback options 1) WinDVD 2) PowerDVD Which is better? I do not want to install both. Thanks in advance. |

To be honest, neither one is really better then the other, they are essentially the same program. Both have plenty of options for playback and run very well. Its a toss-up between them. I like PowerDVD but WinDVD is just as well.

I use WinDVD but only because it came with a notebook I have. Power DVD is considered by most to be the best. Actually Windows Media Player in XP works as well as anything. I jus watch movies on my notebook once in a while in Hotels so if it will show the movie it works for me.

I prefer PowerDVD, mainly because I find it more comfortable and you have more options.
But that's a personal preference. They both decode MPEG-2 very well. RJ
