alright i have a friend who just got a computer about a month (built by her uncle) and she has been able to burn just fine. she just went and bout some new cd (80 min, 700 mb) and it spits it out when she wants to burn an audio cd. for some reason or another, these new cd's are not allowing her to burn. has anyone ever heard of a problem like this? burner is internal, os is windows xp, and it is a brand new computer built from scratch. like i said, she has been able to burn fine up until now. other than that i have no info on the computer itself because she doesn't know. thanx for all the help.

i heard from somebody that some blank cd's are not compatible with specific types of burners? if this is true, could this be part of the problem, or is it an underlying problem? like i said, unfortunately, i am unable to provide more info. sorry

My bet is it is ez cd... I have ez cd and it always has new issues for me.. ex: burns half the cd and errors out or I put a new cd and it just spits it out. try Nero, it is free and I have not had a single problem with it as long as it recognizes your CDR drive. If that fails it has to be a compatability issue between the burner and the CDs

I have to clarify something - Nero is not free. You can download a trial version.

Nero is a great program, the wizard makes it too simple, and NO problems, unlike EZCD.
Read my comments in this thread: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.p...threadid=49479 If you need Sony's CDExtreme, just let me know. |

I used EZCD for along time but after XP came out it had so many problems that didn't get addressed properly with their updates that I dropped. Now Nero is my Hero.

For what its worth, I have Nero and EXCD installed on my computer and contrary to most experiences related in these forums, I have not had any problems with either one of them being on the same computer. Guess I am just lucky.

I think where the problems come in is if you have two packet writing programs like Neros InCD running at once. Maybe just having more than one could do it because they make pretty big registry changes specific to themselves. I have seen several stable computers become unstable after installing EZCD Creator and all of Nero(Nero+InCD).
