install win 98
(installing win 98)
i am building new comp. wish to use the cd win. 98 that came with my comp. it is full edition. but do not have product key.is there a way get around this or retrieve it from the comp. i am useing?

Are you sure there is not a book with the certificate of Authenticity that has the product key?? My first PC came that way with the win95 disk, win95 book and the COA, and product key was on the COA.
Other than that, you can check where you bought the PC and they should be able to help you as they will have a product key since they originally installed it, but other than that I'm not sure what other option ther is as this is what the product key's purpose is to make it so I can not just give you the disk and let you load it.
