backup problems
I recently did a factory reset on my hard drive (stupid compaq restore disc
) I backed up my files on a cd-rw on a Iomega zip cd drive. I watched the files burn and also checked afterwards to make sure the files were there. I restored my drive and went to transfer my files back.....yup you guessed it they were gone. Now I know I'm not crazy the file were there, and I know it's the same disc.Am I screwed? Please help with any suggestions as I am pretty bummed out about this. Thanks oh yeah I do have a couple of older files on the disc that show up as a temp icon. Not sure what that means, other than I can't open them. |

Well either they are there or they are not there. Your computer may not recognize some of them until reinstall the applications that made them. You may want to set your windows to show all files. But you can bet if they were there they still are.

Are you using the same software to recover the files as you used to create them?
