Boom YEnc

is it possible for some software to allow outlook express to view yEnc files, more and more seem to be using this file and mine just comes up jumbled letting and graphics. i am on outlook 6

Hi N11xxy,

Do a Google search for "yenc files" and you'll find several freeware apps that allow you to extract those files. Hope that helps.

There is a program called yProxy that sits between Outlook Express (or any other newsreader for that matter) and your news server which does the decoding for you. Find it in www.brawnylads.com/software/

For $29US, you can buy Forte Agent which is one of the best newsreaders on the planet and it fully supports yEnc.

Yeah but our friend already got Outlook Express and yProxy is free! Nothing to buy, no new program to learn.

Just suggesting an option that makes Outhouse Express look like junk, that's all.
