Norton Int. Sec. 2002

Help
I have been useing NIS for about a year with no problems then yesterday bang' If norton is enabled it wont let me access the internet useing IE.6 I have to disable both NIS. and its Anti Virus softwear to surf the net. When I go to Deleate NIS it wont let me saying Iam not the Adminstrator but I am. Can anyone out there help me.

Hi Shane351,

Search the Symantec support page for "uninstall internet security" and you'll find a page with instructions and a program that needs to be used to disable the administrator account. Hope that helps.

NIS Problem

Looks like a no go Doc. I followed the directions to the letter trying both Add/ Remove in Control Pannel then The uninstall in the NIS program itself then I tried the Semantic Rnis.exe program and they all stop at the same part{ Error1921 NISSERV could not be stopped verify that you have sufficent privleges to stop system services.} What now Doc.

Would I be stuped to try and re-Install NIS 2002 on the computer again.
