Help with MGI PhotoSuite SE

A friend scanned two photos for me and sent them to me in an email and they are both way to light looking. I have MGI PhotoSuite SE and have figured out how to darken them some (they don't look very well but they are darker) The skin color is just not right either. It also has an option to add a picture frame and in trying to add one I can't figure out how to resize the photo and have it fit into the frame right. I have found how to resize the photo and do resize it but when I add the photo frame over it, it always fits over the picture the same way no matter how small I make the photo, does that make sense? I would like to make the frame larger not the photo smaller. Does anyone have MGI PhotoSuite SE and can tell me how to do it?

Thanks.
