Inserting a Page Number in the Middle of a Document in Word 2002
hey kids,
How do you insert a page number in the middle of a document in Word 2002? The first few pages are a title page and a table of contents and I want to start right after that...it's driving me mad!!! |

Hi j
On the page before you want to start the numbering, click insert >break. Under the "Section Break Types" choose either next page (if you're doing a hard page break) or continuous. Then, on the page you want to start numbering, click insert >page numbers. Uncheck "show number on first page", click "format", then click start at & pick the number you want to start with. When you want to do page formatting in Word, you need to break it up in sections if you want to format pages differently... HTH Cheryl |
