Question Pc 66/100/133

How do i tell what PC rating my mobo can i handle and what rating my memory is?

I dont know where to find that (Im only 12, my big bro built the computer a couple of years ago ). All i know is that my processor is intel and that there is a little square near the pci slots that says "Intel PCIset then a whole bunch of letters and numbers." Where would i find the brand and stuff> thanx.

Install Belarc Advisor and paste the info it gives your here, and we'll let you know what kind of system you have.

thanx. just wanted to let you know that i checked system info and it said:

Computer:
x86 Family 6 Model 6 Stepping
5
AT/AT Compatible
261,688 KB RAM

I know that the RAM part means i got 261 mgs of ram...

I dont know if thatll help tho

I would say it is either PC100 or 133, But please post what Belarc Adviser says.

With that processor, all you *need* is PC66. It's impossible to tell what you *have* now, but I'm betting it's either PC66 or PC100. A "ZX" board can handle PC100 for sure and *probably* can handle PC133 but no guarantee.

To pin down what motherboard you exactly have, next time you cold boot the computer, pause the very first screen and look in the lower left corner for the exact bios string. It should start with "2A69K", please post the whole string.
