I am trying to save a photo in jpeg format, but when I go to Save as I only get the photoshop standard format along with TIFF and RAW. The save for web is greyed out and the export file save format is for Adobe Illustrator. How do I save this file in jpeg? Thanks

Don't have photoshop, I use Paintshop Pro, but the programs are very similar. It sounds to me like all of your save options were not installed when you installed the program. Paintshop Pro permits you to choose which formats you want to use.
In Paintshop pro you can add or delete formats under File/Preferences, I would imagine that Photoshop would have a place for you to choose as well. http://about.com has an excellent forum for Photoshop. If you can not find out how to add the formats I would suggest you go to about and then choose their graphics/photoshop section. You will find your answer there for sure. |

do you have any layers in your image?, if you do you must flatten the image first before it will let you save as a jpeg

I use 6.0 and I have one points to make: You do not need to flatten a multi-layered photoshop document to save as a jpeg, tiff, or any other single layered format.
One question for you: do the file extensions in the "save as" pull down menu show up greyed out or not show at all? When you want to use "save as", do you have at least one layer in the file selected? If you do, then try slecting either the first one or the last one. I doubt by selecting a certain layer that it will make it work, but it's worth a shot. ![]() But, I'm guessing that you may need to reinstall photoshop, if that the "save as" file extentions are not shown at all.

Yeah, but it should have those file formats in the "save as" option.
