locking up in Win Media Player
My computer is locking up when I play music in Windows Media Player 7.1 after about 10 minutes and it's not the same file every time.The machine plays Unreal Tournament perfect yet it won't play a simple music file.Has anyone run into this problem?Maybe there's a bug fix for it?Something to do with the sound driver?The machine is :Abit KT7E board ,Radeon8500,Antec 300 watt ps,WD 40gig 8 mb cache,256 mb Crucial pc133,Nec burner and cd rom,vortex sound card.Thanks

change file player
I'm trying a different file player to see if the music files cause the lock ups or the media player.

Nope, no spyware. I've been using winamp for, let's see... for 4 or 5 years.. damn, I didn't realize it was that long..

What's your opinion on Winamp 3? I installed once, and uninstalled 20min later, didn't like it at all. I'm still using 2.8. Thanks

Yea, I did the same thing. I just like the feel of 2 better. That's why I linked to the Winamp 2 page instead of the main 3 page.

While using it, I noticed that Windows Media Player actually has better movie playback than winamp 3, that's one reason I didn't keep it.
