Cool Canon photo editing software

Is anyone familiar with Canons photo software? I have more of a curosity thing than a problem really. A friend has this program that they use with their digital camera. She usually saves the photos to her desktop in a new folder to edit or burn onto a cd later. I was trying to help clean this pc up since she also had 2 viruses causing havoc on this pc too. If the photos are on the desktop then they should also be saved somewhere on the hdd also, but I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know how or where these photos are saved to? I've looked at all the normal places with no luck.

Hi,

What OS is she running? Have you tried searching for the files to locate them? Hope this helps.

win 98
Yeah I tried searching with file finder & I manually tried looking through folders. They must rename it & hide it somehow, they can't just leave it hanging on the desktop or thats what I thought anyway.

The files may very well BE only on the desktop. That's not a good way to do it, but it's very common. Desktops are for shortcuts in my opinion.

Thanks glc!
Yeah I was always told a desktop was to be used as a shortcut too! Thats what threw me I guess, I always thought to view it on a desktop that it had to be stored somewhere in the hdd. Maybe not in this case though, I have already cleaned up as much as possible, so I guess she will have to live with it!

The actual "Desktop" folder is usually hidden during a normal search.
In Windows2k/XP it will be in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Desktop

In 98 I think it's just c:\windows\desktop unless you are using user profiles.
