strange error message

a friend has a pc running windows xp home and had installed a progam called Britannia encyclopedia, for which you have 2 discs with all the data and you put these in when you run the software.
after a few months without using it he tried and it comes up with the error message:-

Unable to start the application- The Class Files could not be loaded.

Catastrophic Failure

I have never seen this happen so I uninstalled it and reloade it but the same thing happens.

any ideas?

Class File = Java
As such you may need to download and install JavaVM from the link below.
