Hello:
Sounds like your really studying some computer history there.

1.I've never heard of a hybrid or an analog computer, but I would guess the answer to be BOTH or NONE.

2. I think the answer is none because the default file extension for backup copies of files is .BAK

3. Your secondary memory device is definately your disk. That is what swapfile and virtual memory is all about, Using space on the the hard drive as memory space.

4. I would guess 1964-1975 to be first generation of computers.

5. Not too sure on that last one, my guess is the intel 8008.

The only one I can guarantee you I am right on is the secondary memory, and I'm pretty sure on the backup file extension one, pretty sure on the generation of computers one too, the other 2 are just my educated gueses!

First, I've never heard of an analog computer too!
The first CPU from Intel was the 4004:

1) I'd say Both

2) None of the above

3) disk

4) I'd say at least Second Gen (amazing how much about "computer history" I can't remember )

5) commercially ??? I'd have to go with the 8088 even though there were several before it. commercially to me means readily availible....

When do we get "scored"??
