Outlook Distribution Lists
I have several Distribution Lists of contacts set up in Outlook using Windows XP.
Have come across 2 problems. 1. When I try to export all my email addresses including the Group Distribution Lists to import into my Laptop invariably only some of the Distribution Lists are copied over. 2. also from time to time one or more of the Group's from the email list vanishes. Any help anyone can give to avoid the above happening would be appreciated. Thank you. Trevor |

The easiest way I have found is to simply cut and paste the contents of the folder to the other computer. From the Contacts, if that's what you want, simply hit Ctrl A, Ctrl C, and then in the destination folder hit Ctrl V.

This dosn't work. When you click on the CONTACTS FOLDER and do Ctl A and then Ctrl C you get a bleep letting you know it is not copying it. Even if it did how can you point to the contacts folder on the other computer onthe network to use he Ctrl V on.

I open the contacts folder in Outlook just like I were looking up someone's info and select all from there. If it won't let you paste into the other folder just paste it in an empty folder and copy it to the other computer. Then cut and paste it from that folder into Outlook the same way you copied it. I do this several times per month between my desktop and my notebook. I also do my email folders. I back it all up the same way.
