media player / real player help please

hi,

ive downloaded a file from kazaa called ghostrider (cars racing around the streets) - ive come to watch this file and both media & real player just bring up a box saying *class factory cannot supply requested class* - there is a box that says more info but it just takes me to a microsoft website which says no more info avaible !!

ive got media player 9 - divx 5 and the nimo codec pack... does anyone know how to get this file to play ??

(ive had a look what it says under properties with the file and it says *Movie File (MPEG)* )

Hi,

Are you sure the file is complete? It's probably using some type of compression, and you need the codec. You might want to try Divx 3.11 Alpha as well. I had Divx 5 as well, but still had problems with no sound on one of my files. Downloaded the 3.11 Alpha version and had no more problems. I'm not sure this will help solve your problem, but it might be worth a try. HTH
