Question Getting Word to open separate sessions

Hi,
In MS Word 97 how do you get it to open a whole new session of Word for each document you open, instead of the documents opening up in the same session of word.
TIA

I think that if you double click on the program shortcut like you would the first time opening it, it may work. I'm not sure. I haven't used Office 97 in a long time.

Thanks force_flow2002, no that doesn't work I think it is done the same way in word 2000 also. A couple of people at work have word 97 and word 2000 and it works that way, but mine opens all the documents in my current session of word. The don't know how they got it to work that way, they said it has worked that way since the SA set it up. I like it because you can't accidently delete something your working on by mistake, as sometimes I loose track of what documents I have open.

I use Word 2000 and I can open as many instances as I want by going to the start menu. My keyboard shortcut will open only one.

Thanks Tuf, that does work but they can just click on the document and it opens in a whole session of word, and that's what I'd like to do in Word 97 as that is what I'm stuck with at work.

I thought this would be a stumper, I've been drawing blanks everywhere and to everyone I've talked to. I wish that old SA was still around.
