Opera7 Final version released!

Opera 7.00 has been released at www.opera.com

I'm in the process of downloading it, but I'll let you know if there are any changes from the beta2.

Also, I was reading the FAQ's and they said if you already installed the java version, you can download the version without java and it will detect the java you have installed. They also don't recommend installing on top of the beta versions.

Here's the FAQ page: http://www.opera.com/support/search/....dml?index=626

force_flow2002,
I've been using Opera 7 for a couple days and it is a nice browser. They've made some nice changes and give the user some very nice options.

I just installed 7.0 on top of 6.05 as an upgrade - and it went very smooth.

Okay, I just installed it. It's just about the same as the v.7 beta2. The only difference I noticed off hand was that the ability to save webpages as html files (rather than just *.txt files) has been put back in.

Cool

Just installed on top of a 6.05 as well, and had no problems (after I figured out how to properly upgrade, by reading the FAQ-- thanks for the link). I like the speed improvement. It does appear to load pages faster. The spacing of the posts/threads at pcmech appears a little different, but maybe that's just me.

I use IE with popup stopper, and Mozilla now. What if anything does Opera have to offer me? Ill try it if it's worth trying.

I would be interested in what Opera offers also. Is it more secure? Faster?

It's faster and it's awesome at stopping annoying pop-up ads.

It's not you. It does change the way the tables appear to closer to what it appears as in IE.
