are there any known issues for having recordnow max 4.5 and nero on the same system with this burner?

There is no problem having multiple burning applications installed at the same time.
It's just the packet writing applications that interfere with another. So if you want packet writing, only install one at a time.

when you say packet writing do you mean like isos and bins?

Programs like InCD, DirectCD, and Windows XP built in writer are packet writing programs. You don't want more than one of them running at once.
