I haven't used that particular one but some of them are pretty effective. If you install and unistall a lot of software there can be a ton of orphan entries left in the registry. Most of the time they don't hurt anything but it certainly can't hurt to rid of them.

I like RegCleaner as well. Nice, simple little program. All you have to do is keep track of what you have installed and uninstalled...

hey...I just recenetly had this iexpiore.exe virus, and it put string values in my registry that make it want to load it everytime I turn on the computer, and then I get an error msg that says cannot find Iepiorer.exe...would this reg cleaner be able to delete the ones entries that I have missed, cause I have spent hours on it and I am still issing some and getting that error.

The registry cleaner that is included with jv power tools seems to work very well. It used to be more thorough than regcleaner which is also by the same people. They are both free.

I use Norton's "WinDoctor" and MS's RegClean. Very little is found by the other after a cleaning...

I notice every time i create a folder or image file and delete it or move files and folders a registry entry remains. Thats pretty sloppy of a OS to leave stuff behind. Don't understand M$ sometimes. I use more than a few reg cleaners, one finds stuff the other doesn't.

I have downloaded RegscrubXP . The scan showed 115 problems. I removed them and so far no problems.

I use RegCleaner and RegSeeker. Regseeker seems to do a better job.
