Hey, this isnt a REAL problem but im tired of AIM. I tried trillian.. but it kept on disconnecting me and it was unstable for me. Are there any patches that work for AIM? Like ones where you can make your own expressions and have your own backgrounds for AIM's etc etc? Like Im jsut bored of the same old interface with the same old expressions etc etc... Is there any program I can use jsut to spice up aim? Im just tired of it?! thanks!!

Looks like you'll have to make your firewall more friendly to it.
Trillian works well for me, except for IRC...which I barely know how to use anyway. |

Well I have a problem here... I had Sygate right? well the trial ran up on taht... so I downloaded a new firewall...outpost... then when I tried to uninstall Sygate everytime the comptuer jsut automatically restarts that very instant I click uninstall... its wierd? Then when the computer boots up a Sygate prompt comes up and sais : there are currently 2 firewall applications running... so how do I get rid of sygate? cause everytime I try to uninstall it ... it restarts my whole computer and it still doesnt get uninstalled? thanks a lot!

Trillian is great for me, I don't like AiM but to keep incontact with a few people I have to have an AIM account so I am using Trillian to host my ICQ and AIM. Don't get me wrong, i really like the way ICQ works.

Well I liked it no doubt until it just stopped working. Like it doesnt seem to like having any kind of firewall. But I dont know what to do in order for me to have good protection AND for trillian to work at the same time...

They have what seems to be a pretty good forum on trillian's site. There is alot of advice and some good instructions on how to make it coincide with other software.

I think I heard that AOL changed something in AIM again, and Trillian has to come up with a patch.
