Messenger problems
I'm having a problem sending and receiving files from people through instant message programs (I use AIM and MSN). Actually, I can't do anything that recquires direct connection between me and another user. Both programsclaiming that one of us (either me or the person I'm chatting with) is behind a firewall. I checked the status, and my windows firewall is off (I run XP). Some people think the ISP is causing i, and other people think it's because I'm connected to the internet through a router. Those don't make sense to me, because there is one single person I'm able to send files and directly connect to, bur I don't know what it is about his computer that makes him the only one I can contant. Does anyone know what could be limiting me to only conversation with most people I chat with?

Router is probably the cause of problem. You may need to open up ports for messenger to work. There was a thread about that within last couple of weeks.
