Opening port on LinkSys router

I can't figure it out, even with the manual. Can someone pleaes help me? I need to open port 5190 for Aol Instant Messanger.

You should just be able to go to http://192.168.1.1 and select the advanced tab and then the forwarding tab.

Enter 5190 to 5190 in the appropriate fields and tick the other two fields (can't remember what they are), click the activate field and save changes.

This should work...

The other fields are UDP or TCP.
You want 5190 as remote, and 5190 as local, and both TCP and UDP (going by memory here...)

You also have to know the private IP address of the machine you need to forward those ports to.
