If you use Mailwasher...

I'm starting a club.
In this club, we exchange our Mailwasher "blacklist.txt" files, and add them to our own, thus getting the benefit of everyone elses blacklisted spam sites.
I'd like you to post here, with the approx size of the file before you send it, and I'll specifically request certain ones from the people posting, then I'm going to incorporate them all into one, and hopefully remove the redundant duplicates.
If you use wildcards to blacklist a whole domain, please don't send, there are still some users on AOL
Once I have what appears to be a comprehensive list, I'll put it up for download for anyone.
In Windows XP/2k, the "Blacklist.txt" file is located in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\MailWasher
Not sure where it is in Windows 9x.

BTW, mine is 46k, with no wildcards

Now, where is the blacklist.txt located?

Just use Explorer, and do a search for it.

reboot,
Very good idea. I found mine and it opens in Notepad.
Along with the Blacklist is a "whitelist". It has some friends on there. How do I clean it up for upload?

I just want the blacklist, not the other.
Zip it, and email it to me.

Sure!
Save a copy somewhere, edit it in notepad, remove the "friendslist" from the bottom of it, save, and then zip it up and send it.

Send a message via ICQ to AndyM
This is a great idea. I just came to PCMech with the thought of posting a thread on spam and search brought me here. I was at the point of considering terminating the email account I've had for 6 years. Now I have one more option. Will post my blacklist once I have mailwasher up and running. BTW, I'm getting about 70 or so spams a day. 150 could be a record. Can anyone top it?

Easily. I get between 275 and 350 a day, of which about 90% are filtered with Mailwasher. My blacklist is pushing 70k.

Ya, I'm with 'boot here, my filter is going nuts all day long.

Jim, you can send me a copy of that filter list. I would send you mine, but you don't want any wildcards and mine is full of them.
