Urgent : I have damaged several cdīs

Hi

I need your help.

Problem : I am trying to make an audio Cd from my Mp3 or wave files but
the burning process stops after one minute ( more or less).
Nero crashes and I canīt eject the damage cd-r.
I have reduced the speed recording but the problem is the same.

I am using :

Nero 5.5.10.7 ( Enterprise Edition )
+
Win XP
+
Plextor 8/4/32A

Is ther any known problem with my configuration ?
I have used Nero Express and no problem.

Thanks in advance

Edgler

Hi and welcome to the PCMech community

I see no obvious problem with your configuration. How are your drives set up (as in, do you have your Hard Drive and Burner on the same IDE cable?)

Have you enabled DMA support for your Burner? If not, you should

My Computer --> Properties --> Hardware --> Device Manager --> DVD/CDROM Drives --> Your burner (right click --> Properties)

You should have a setting on that page for DMA

It's a long time since I've had to do that though so I could be wrong

Thanks, HTH,

Jim

And if you still can't get it to work, you can try sending an email off to the Nero support people

http://www.nero.com/support/support.php?Lang=English

Where did you look? To check if DMA is enabled, you have to check the IDE primary or secondary controller properties, not the CD-RW.
