Hi dave computer,
I don't even have that directory on my computer. I wanted to look and see what's in there. If you've refomatted, and the data can't be retrieved from your backup, I hate to say I think you may be SOL... ![]() TwoRails Last edited by TwoRails; 03-15-2003 at 05:31 PM. |

do a search for all files with the extension .dbx on your backup CD and copy them to the following folder:
Win9x/Me: C:\Windows\...\Identities\{...}\Microsoft\Outlook Express Win2K/XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{...}\Microsoft\Outlook Express. I assume you are using Windows 9x or Me. This should at least give you back your mail. NPP |

Copy the identity to a folder on the hard drive then remove the read only attributes. Then import the messages from a "store directory". When you burn files to a CD they become read only and databases (which your message stores really are) don't work when they are read only.
