Here's an interesting problem/idea...
With a dual (or triple) boot machine, is there some way to have 2 O/S's running at the same time so you could switch between them? (similar to using the ALT+Tab shortcut to switch between programs) Not by using two towers and a switcher, but actually all on one machine.
How would the RAM handle it? Would everything get too mixed up?

Okay I took a look at it.
Win98 is not supported, which is one of the O/S's I need. Any other suggestions? |

Hi force_flow 2002,
I've been using VmWare for a while, now and find it an excellent program both for what you're looking to do and to test software on an assortment of OS's. Your host system (the OS you instal VmWare on) must be WinXP or Win2K, but the guest OS system can be anything from DOS on up, including many Linux distribos. I have, as guests, the following: DOS 6, Win 3.1, Win 98SE, Win2K, WinME, WinXP Beta, and Mandrake-Linux 8.1. My host system (the one the program is installed on) is Win2K. The guests are somewhat less functional (CD-burning is not supported, nor are winmodems, for example), but most things works as they should. Hope this helps.
