Changing resolution in mpeg files
Is there a program that can let me resize the res in my mpeg videos? They are 320x240 I think and whenever I set them to full screeen they look horribly pixelated.
I am intending a freeware or shareware proggie, plz don't tell me to use Director or something expensive like that. TIA for the input.

And TMPGEnc is the best
www.tmpgenc.net However, you can't improve the quality. With some filter you should be able to make the pixelation smoother, though. RJ

Nope you can't. If picture information is not there, well, then it's just not there, you can't just get the necessary information from void.
Well, in TMPGEnc, you can decrease the sharpness. You will of course lose sharpness, but so will the bloks and it could be easier to look at. Experiment with it and see how you like it. But to really improve quality means getting information from void, which is not possible. Resizing the MPEG to a higher resolution is just digital zoom, nothing else. RJ |
