Ghost Image

I just completed a reinstall of XP. I used Norton Ghost (Systemworks 2003) to make a backup of my C Drive. When finished, Ghost tells me there is a problem with the image. I ran the Image Integrity check and it reports the same thing.

I did go ahead and run the Ghost Restore and it did restore the image to my C Drive with no problems. I then made another image but it still reports a problem with the image.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Are you running ghost from a DOS boot disk?

Exactly what error message did it report?

I was running it from within Systemworks 2003 on a fresh install of XP. I don't remember the exact message. Basically it said there was a problem with the image. After running an integrity check of the image I get the same message. But, as I stated earlier, the image did work.

You might want to try running ghost from a DOS boot disk.

Personally, I always believe that is the safest way to go, since you are not using any files that are being backed up.

On the other hand, if it works - it works, so perhaps don't worry about it!
