good backup program

hey guys,

my system recently became very naughty and ceased functioning properly. windows 2000 became corrupt, and i was unable to restore it. now that i have it up and running again, i'm looking for a FREE backup program that can back up my registry, system files, and system state, and burn them to cd. i'd like to keep an image of a functioning windows around in case this ever happens in the future.

The built-in Backup in Win2K can back up to tape or another hard drive, but not to a CD burner. Got any old IDE drives kicking around?

I believe you can back up to a networked computer with the built-in backup if you map a drive letter. Restoring it will be a different story - the only real way to restore to a blank drive is with Ghost, Drive Image, or a (not free) backup program that has a disaster recovery option.
