Error Messages
1) I have an error message when I first start up the computer that says "Windows cannot find D:\cdsetup.exe..." "...... specified in registry."
2) I also have an error message when I open Excel that says "Compile error in hidden module: TBRun97." This error message is under the heading of "Microsoft Visual Basic." Any suggestions on removing these messages? WolfpackRon. |

Depending on which version of Windows you have, you can type "msconfig" from the Start...Run menu, and see what programs Windows is trying to load on startup. Odds are that the D:\cdsetup.exe is located there, and you can delete it.
Don't know about the second message, though. |

You may want to try a repair on excel.

I did not recognize any thing in the Startup listing that I thought was related to the 1st message. I have Win XP. I even tried going back in time using the "restore" function and the messages were still there.
I performed the "repair" function in the Microsoft Office "Install" program and the message is still there. Where would something like the 2nd message be listed in the registry. I am not very familiar with modifying the registry. Thanks, WolfpackRon. |

You can use the "edit" button on your post to change it, if you need to.
![]() Anyway, have you tried a complete unistall and reinstall of office? |

The 1st error message has been removed with a regclean program.
The 2nd error message still comes up. Yes, I performed a complete remove and full installation of Windows Office with no help removing the error message. Excel seems to work properly, but the message comes up at the start of Excel and when I close Excel. WolfpackRon. |

What O/S are you running?
What version of Office? Do you have any other packages installed, such as Corel's WordPerfect Suite? |

I am using Windows XP and Office 2000. There are no other programs like Corel Word. WolfpackRon.

Thanks, GLC. I am learning where to find stuff. That fixed my problem. WolfpackRon.
