Mail from Outlook Express
Hi, all
Got home from work tonite and fired up my trusty rusty puter and received a message from Outlook express in my mail box that I had upgraded to version # 6. Thought it odd as that is the version I use. When I checked the rest of my mail I noticed all the mail that was in my inbox had disappeared. All that was in my mail box was todays mail. I had some addresses ets in my inbox that I would like to retreive but haven't been able to find the old mail. I use IE as my browser with OE as my mail and XP home edition as my OS. Thankyou in advance for any info that I may receive. |

Are you logging on with the same user name as you always do?

Tuff,
Yes I am. The only thing I have changed on this puter recently and that was Sunday was I bought a new mouse. Basic Microsoft mouse with the little scroll wheel. Thankyou Tom |

Turn off automatic updates. That will prevent this from happening again, but it won't get your mail back.
Search your hard drive for inbox.dbx, I believe that's what the inbox is in OE. To get it back into OE, import messages from a store directory and browse to the folder where you found the dbx files. |
