IRQ Q's
Hi there. I have a previous post dealing with a game, Wolfenstein. I am having it freeze on me alot. I was wondering if the IRQ settings would have any affect with the game? I noticed that my video card and my ethernet card share the same IRQ(19) and my Nforce Audio Controller is sharing with a standard Open HCD USB controller(21). Could this be a problem? How do I switch IRQ settings around? I appreciate any help...

The use of IRQ's above 15 means that your motherboard has an APIC (Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller), your operating system supports it, and you can't change the IRQ's. Look elsewhere for your problem.
The only thing you might want to do is make sure you don't have a PCI card in the slot next to the video card, that can cause problems. |
