Question What do you call...

A PC with 3 O/S's is called a triple boot system.

A PC with 2 O/S's is called a dual boot system.

What do you call a PC with 4 O/S's? A quad-boot system?

Send a message via MSN to doctorgonzo
That's what I would call it. If I wanted to pitch it on TV, I would call it "Quadraboot technology" or something similar.

Well, consider Unreal Tournament:

2 is "Double Kill"
3 is "Multi Kill"
4 is "Mega Kill"
5 is "Ultra Kill"
6 is "Monster Kill"
Anything above this is marketed as "versatile".

These translate over to Computer hardware quite nicely. Thus you have a "Mega Kill Boot"

Respectfully,

Demosthenes

ROLF!

I just did a google seach for these:
"Quad boot" - 311 hits
"Quadraboot" - 1 hit
"Quadra boot" - 111 hits

It certainly isn't very common...

Force Flow, Logically, the name should be "quadruple boot".

As long as we are being proper:
Would it not be "Octal Boot"?
"Octagonal", I thought, refers to geometry and polygons, whereas the base, "octal", refers to anything of a factor of 8. (i.e. an octal number system, octal music pitch, etc).

Just technicalities. ;)
