About a month ago I found that when I shut my Windows XP system down it automatically turns back on. So now I have to wait at the computer and turn the power bar off when it finally finishes shutting down. The phenomenon varies in length it takes to turn back on but is always bewtween 2-15 seconds.
Weird! Any thoughts? Thanks Toby |

Go into your bios settings and turn off all power management "wake" events, such as wake on lan (WOL) and wake on modem.
