Windows XP faxing

I installed the WindowsXP fax facility to send a fax the other day and very annoyingly every time I start up my PC under WindowsXP it attempts to fax the number I succesfully faxed previously. It also annoyingly attempts to receive faxes when I get a phone call.

Help!

If it works like Win2K's fax, open control panel, then Fax. Go to advanced options, then Open Fax Service Management Console. Click on Devices, then double click on your modem - and uncheck the box to enable receive or change the number of rings, however you want to do it. Then change your start menu over to classic view, go to Programs, Accessories, Communication, Fax, Fax Queue and clear anything that may still be in there.

I just open that fax program when I need it then close it down and do not have it set to startup with windows, but if you need it to run all the time then you'll have to do as suggested above and set rings...
