Drive Image problems.....

Hey people, I've been a fan of Powerquest's two great products, DRIVE IMAGE and also, PARTITION MAGIC, for a couple years now. I think they're just great. Here's my problem though. Though this used to work before now, when I try to make an image of my C:\ drive partition, and store it on my E:\IMAGES partition, the process stops 1/2 way through, and says error#1805. Now in the product info book, and believe me, it's not your average little slip of useless paper that you often get with some software, its says that I'm trying to copy to a drive that has too little space on it. When you try to do that very thing though, you get a warning telling you this, and it wont even start the process. My trouble is that after starting the copy, it says error# 1805, but nothing about my problem. I'm sure that my E:\ drive has plenty of space to hold the compressed image, three times over. The E:\ partition is totally empty and has just been defragged to make sure theres no files that could interfere with a clean copying. I checked their website too, but not much help. I hope somebody out there who has DRIVE IMAGE 2002, can help me with this thing here.
Thanks in advance, Topper

P.S.... I have: WINXP home, with all updates and SP1 too
: AsusA7V333 board/AthlonXP2200+CPU/DDR512ram
:IBM-30GB-7200 HDD
:Partitions, C:\-12GB, D:\-10.4GB, E:\-6.2GB
:The size of the image I want to copy is only 2.7GB,
and thats before DRIVE IMAGE compresses it at a
high level too.

Is the original C drive (data/programs on it) bigger than 6.2gb?
It doesn't matter if the image will be less, the image is made, and THEN compressed before final writing, so if E is smaller than the total space used on C, it won't work.

Hi there REBOOT, the truth is that the uncompressed image I want to make, of the raw, as it sits installed on the C:\ is only 2.75GB. The E:\ partition that I want to store it on, is 6.2GB, and the E:\ has absolutely nothing else on it.
Thanks for thinkin'
