neet help with PDA's OS
Hi guys,
Is it possible to uninstall PDA's OS and install a different one? Like for example is it possible to uninstall English Palm OS and install Japanese Palm OS? |

I don't think you can uninstall it but I am sure you can upgrade. Also, if you want to do a language change on the PDA, I would think there would be an option; if there isn't one, I am sure there is a shareware or freeware out there that will do it for you.

Thanks Iman74.
The main reason for me buy PDA is to use it as Eng/Jap & Jap/Eng translator. I found a translation program, but it's a Japanese program. Well since Japanese program can't be displayed properly in PC, I think that's the same for PDA's. I guess I'm better off with Japanese PDA, which is hasstle since I live in CA and I need either a company willing to ship abroad or someone in Japan to receive it then send it to me. I'm still looking for more information if there is any. =) 2nd reason to get PDA is for mp3 player, but that's a different story. =P |

Well if the other reason for a PDA is MP3's then you should look into Palm PC's instead of PDA's. They are bulky PDA's that do alot more, hence being Palm PC's.

Hmm... I thought PDA and Palm PC is the same thing. I guess I haven't done my homework right. ^^"
Anyway, I'm planning to get Sony Clie NR series. It looks cool and Sony is reliable (at least not bad). It's rather expensive, but the rate (~120yen = US$1) should help a little. I'm just gonna tell me sys (she's in Japan) to receive it. |

I think he means Pocket PC.
The only OS switch I have ever seen is putting Linux on a PPC. Never seen 1 for the Palm Platform. |
