hello , a friend of mine has a really weird prob....since he upgraded hid cpu he has lost his bios....
It's just not possible to boot into bios ...dunno what i can do more to try and get into that bios except for the normal procedure.... the bios has never been upgraded...maybe it's the battery??but the mobo is now almost 1 y old! setup: blanc case + blanc psu msi kt3 ultra ru volcano 9 assembled with sensor athlon xp 2000 + Maxtor DiamondMax Plus D740X 80GB 7200rpm U133 2MB Cache 1024MB DDR333 PC2700 AOpen DVD ROM 16x48x Black Plextor CDRW W4012TA 40x12x40x Black win xp pro sp1 pls help me..because this isnt funny ..without a bios... tnx

Did you try clearing your cmos? If you didn't, try it and that should get you up and going.

Two ways you can clear the CMOS:
1. Via the clear CMOS jumper. Just move it to the "clear data" position. Leave it there 15 secs and then return it to the "keep data" position. 2. Take out the battery and put it again after 15 minutes. Any method you prefer make sure the PC is *unplugged* from the power outlet.
