Question Burning avi to cd's

I have lots of movies that are in .avi. My cd-rw software can only make movies from .mpeg to play in normal cd players. Is there a free software that can help?I know there is this good website on vcd/dvd-I forgot the link.

Send a message via ICQ to RJ
TMPGEnc is free, but its MPEG-2 encoding capability has a trial period for 30 days. The MPEG-1 encoding capability is free.
TMPGEnc Plus has a trial period for 14 days for MPEG-1 and MPEG-2.
