Mozilla Plugins, cookies, and favorites
Hey
I just got mozilla, and so far I like what I see. I was just wondering, since it tells me I need things like the Flash Player plugin and what not, and I already had those for IE, and IE is still installed, is there any way for Mozilla to just use the one that I have for IE? Same goes for Cookies and favorites, how do I import those? Thanks Last edited by scott_d; 05-02-2003 at 05:16 PM. |

scott_d, I just installed mozilla 1.3 , and it automatically imported my IE favorites. If yours didn't just export your IE favorites
then open mozilla, and press ctrl + B that will get you into manage bookmarks, then do a import for your IE bookmarks. As for the importing of the cookies I haven't found that out yet. I have no idea about the plugin. |

Thanks, mikeL
It only lets you import one favortite at a time, I was hoping to just do it all at once. Maybe someone else knows more on the cookies/plugins?? Thanks |

If you exported all of your IE favorites, they should be saved as a .html file. then when you go to mozilla to import them, just select the saved .html file and all of your favorites should be in the bookmarks.
check to see if you have a bookmark named " imported IE favorites " or something to that effect. That will be your favorites. HTH |

I think if you actually use Mozilla to go to macromedia's site and download the flash player plugin it will install itself in Mozilla browser, Also I think on mozilla's website is a link to plug in's...

IE plugins generally don't work with Mozilla because IE plugins are ActiveX. You need to download Netscape-compatible plugins for Mozilla.
