I have recently built my computer with a BenQ CD-RW drive. This morning, I inserted a CD-R into the drive and I burned a CD with Nero. Now, when I put a CD-R in, Nero does not recognize it. I went into explorer and clicked on the drive and it was a blank CD, so Windows XP recognizes it, but Nero still won't. Ejecting it and putting it back in doesn't work. Installing ForcedASPI doesn't work. Does anyone have a solution to this?

Did you check at the Nero site to see if your CD-RW is supported by Nero?

Does the drive recognize a commercial pressed CD or an already burned CD-R? It's very possible the drive is defective - BenQ (Acer) burners are not noted for their reliability.

Ahhhh! I found the problem. I installed a new driver off of their site and it works!
Thanks for your help anyway.
