is there a program to open this file
i have an album file from my friend. its a .abm file. i dont have the program used to make it and my friend doesnt remember what the name of the program is. is there a universal program or something that can open this file? or any other programs, preferably free, that i can use with an .abm file?

Thats not the only .abm file - Arcsoft Photo Impressions 2000 uses that too. That's a freebie image editor that comes with some low end Canon scanners - and possibly some other brands too. I have a bone to pick with that - people that are not familiar with computers have no reason to not assume that however their editing program saves files by default will be readable by anyone (sorry about the triple negative). If you are going to be sending or giving pictures to others, a common format such as .jpg is most appropriate.

i totaly agree glc. my friend saved it to cd and i guess doesnt have the program any more and doesnt remember what it was. i think it came with a camera or something.
i dont know if it is just me but i cant seem to connect to that site jim. i might have a bad connection... |

If it came with a camera, it's Arcsoft. Bundled with just about every HP digital camera ever made.

i have an arcsoft program but it doesnt seem to open the file. its not the same one that came with whatever he has though so that might be why...

you may be able to find a free or relatively cheap program that includes .abm in it's conversion capacities at www.zdnet.com .... just search for image converters.
