compressing program location....
my sister has installed filzip it is rather good but she also made every zip file open with it...can anyone tell me where the original compression program on windows is normally located on the harddrive so i can put it as the default? I tried putting filzip to not be used with zip files but then zip files wont open...any suggestions?

Open Explorer. Hold down the SHIFT key, and right click on a zip file.
Select Open With, and select "Compressed (zipped) Folders. Put a check mark in the little box, "Always use..." If that doesn't work, in Explorer, click Tools, Folder options, File Types, Scroll down to find ZIP way down the list, click the Change button, select "Compressed (zipped) Folders, Put a tick mark in "Always use...", Click Apply, Close. Restart may not be needed. |
