to make a wallpaper, all you need is an image big enough to fit your screen...make sure it's a bitmap (save as bitmap in MSPaint) and put it in the C:/ directory...where C: is your hard drive.
then just go to display properties in control panel and browse for the file to set it as your wallpaper. you can use any favourite picture, or just do an online search for wallpapers.... |

Do you mean the "desktop themes" or just backgrounds?
If just for the background; almost any 3D prog will work. ![]() Bryce, poser, lightwave, etc.

Well I was really just focusing on wallpapers...I really dont have a need to make a whole theme...but latley I have been wanting to find some more DC and Marvel background with heroes and such...but they are all poor quality, and have very stupid quotes or something in them...very disapointing...
So I was wanting to make my own...since I can find the images I want, and I know what quotes I should use...just need to find the software to make it easy enough for a fool like me to put it all together. I think I will look into "Bryce" I have seen it mentioned multiple times... Thanks for your input Force

If you can be specific about what "really cool effects" you mean, I can probably steer you in the right direction. Bryce is great, but has a pretty hefty pricetag for just making wallpapers. There are a lot of free programs out there...if you go to zdnet.com you can find a free download called "terragen" that doesn't have all the whistles and bells of Bryce but can make some great fantasy like landscapes. Post what you want to do, I have plenty of suggestions...
also, try this site, he has great backgrounds and icons to match...: http://www.blueskyheart.com/bsi.html |

Something like this...
http://superman.ws/FanArt7/SUPERMAN_WOW.php Just more customized...Like I would keep the Kryptonian font, change the color scheme...use a different Superman pose... Thats like the best one I could find...the rest were really crappy, so I want to give it a try and see what I can do ![]() Thanks for your help Dan |

avx-
here's the link to terragen: http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/3120-...gen&tg=dl-2001 the web page you sent me to is a pretty complex photoshop project. you'll have to get together the images you want (if you have hard copy, scanned images would be the best start. good quality, workable pictures of a copyrighted image are hard to find. you may be able to cut and paste the corner of the webpage, if you want to use that script... send me a private message with your email if you have more questions, maybe I can help further. |
