internet explorer
everytime i open ie lately two things open with it, one is a "search" bar at the top below the address bar, "kdrvllsprss" is its labeled name when i right clikc to disable it(i think it came from when i went to search from my start menu. i was trying to find a file on my computer, i had no idea this was going to happen! the other is a search bar at the bottom that is clearly an advertisement, it is called http://o29500.sfux.c...
it appears as an open program at the bottom of windows, understand what i am trying to explain? anyway, how do i get rid of these things?? |

You have spyware.
http://security.kolla.de Download Spybot Search & Destroy, install it, and run it. You better run a virus scan too. |

Spyware is a term to describe any kind of "malware" that does things like you describe - add browser toolbars, hijack your home page, phone home and report on your browsing habits, shove ads in your face, etc. Things like Kazaa, Gator, Weatherbug, Precision Time, etc. are loaded with it.
