Winamp 3 bug/problem

Out of no where, I tried to open winamp like i've done a million times before and a dialogue box pops up and says:

Assertation failed

"String.printf overflow"
Expression: real_len <= length
File: C:\projects\studio\bfc\string.cpp
Line: 498

And it doesn't open. Anyone heard of this?

I have never seen that error before, I guess at that point it would be time to uninstall and reinstall. If then you get the same error, I wonder if manually deleteing that firle would be the key.
File: C:\projects\studio\bfc\string.cpp
that is just a guess in the dark.

Weird thing is, that path doesn't exist! There is no folder called C:\projects, even when I looked for hidden folders. I guess I'll have to reinstall

Are you sure you don't have a virus, trojan, or spyware?

Ok, my roommate solved my problem. For future reference, if anyone has this problem, all you have to do is reload the skin.

I didn't think that was a winamp directory but I had no clue what it was. That is good to to know.

Thumbs down

Hi Guys,
Gave up on Winamp3 a while ago. I knew it wasn't fully functional but even the most basic of things it wouldn't do 'properly'.

I'm back with Winamp 2.7X and there I'll stay unless someone can convince me otherwise.
