not valid Win32 application??

Okay so I see these free little programs that I downloaded and tried to install on my computer (running ME) The download site tells me that these programs are suitable for my OS but when I try to install them I get a message " not a valid Win32 application"
Is that the end of it, cant these little programs be installed on my computer or is there some way it can be done.
The programs are:
" Analogx Banish CD."
apparantly this little program allows you to change the path Windows will look for CAB files.without manually modifying the registry.
The other one is just "word web" a dictionary thesaurus.
Should I just throw these out of my download folder or is there some way to install them.

Thanks guys

That sounds like they may work with a dos boot disk, that was one supposed enhancement to WinME, no more dos or even pseudo dos, so you can't just exit or boot uo to dos prompt....
You may get another error though if you try to install with dos boot disk, but you can try even the wime startup disk may work though just boot to minimal boot...

You could try downloading it again... Sometimes when its a corrupt download it will give you that error....

Or you could try TweakUI.... I believe it has that option....

I think you were right guys, the files were being corrupted somehow by Getright when I downloaded them.
I noticed that when I tried to download them again, using Getright, the server did not support resumed downloads, so I closed Getright and download them normally and the files open and work just fine.
Thanks again
